ROYAL ENFIELD:
The Royal Enfield Bullet was originally a British overhead valve single cylinder 4-stroke motorcycle made by Royal Enfield in Redditch, West Midlands. It is now produced by Royal Enfield Motors, the successor to the British company. The Royal Enfield Bullet has the longest production run of any motorcycle having remained continuously in production since 1948. The Bullet marque is even older, and has passed 75 years of continuous production. The Royal Enfield and Bullet names derive from the company's links with the Royal Small Arms Factory in Enfield.
Royal Enfield does not make changes to existing models from year to year. The Bullet is an iconic motorcycle and not making changes between the model years is kind of the point; it's a mark of distinction in an industry that has been quick to abandon the beauty and fundamentals of its history.
Royal Enfield does do running improvements on the assembly line to existing models, but those changes are made immediately on the assembly line without regard to model year and usually equate to parts changes or upgrades - not aesthetic or performance changes. Royal Enfield’s last model lasted over half a century - rolling off the assembly line through the decades with this simple production philosophy.
